MA Candidate in Historical & Cultural Visualization | Class of 2017
I am a first year MA student in the Historical and Cultural Visualization program in the Digital Art History track. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History with a minor in Classical Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I wrote my senior thesis on Roman Imperial Portraiture, with a focus on the statue of the Augustus Prima Porta. My main academic interest is the art and architecture of ancient Rome, with a special interest in the development of building technologies and materials sourcing from the first century B.C. to the first century A.D. My research interests focus on using digital technologies and virtual mapping techniques to recreate interactive city plans and virtual architectural features of ancient Rome.
